I'm A Dunderhead

I totally forgot to tell you yesterday how awesome my mom is.

• She e-mailed me the link to the writers conference.
• She talked me into going.
• The morning I was supposed to drive to the conference, I suddenly discovered there was an admissions fee and decided not to go because (as fantastically priced as it is) I am a penniless college student. She - in response - practically threw a check in my face and told me to get out of the house.

After telling this story to the organizers of the conference, they expressed their own thanks to my mother and promised to display the price more prominently in the future.
Had I known the price earlier, I totally could have worked it into my allowance/budget.

Who else has an awesome mom deserving of a little red cape?
